Pastor Jeff Kodis was born and raised in the United Methodist Church and has been pastoring churches in Iowa since 2003.  He is a graduate of Iowa State University where he met his wife Anna, and graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary before returning to serve in Iowa.  He has served as an associate pastor in Spirit Lake and then as pastor of the Mediapolis & Sperry churches.

In 2016 Pastor Jeff and Anna moved to Marshalltown with their 5 children to serve as Senior Pastor at First United Methodist.  He is passionate about worship and preaching, as well as seeing people take new steps in their faith journey.  In addition to following his children’s activities, he loves hiking, camping, sailing, or just being outdoors.
