We grow in our relationship with God by worshipping regularly with the Body of Christ, by seeking God through personal devotions and spiritual disciplines, and by growing in Christ’s likeness both inside and out.

Each Sunday we gather to worship together as a congregation in a variety of styles from traditional to contemporary.  We desire to express our love for God through worship in song, giving, communion, and the teaching of the Word.  For those attending with young children we offer nursery for children ages four and under, and family tables and busy bags at the back of the sanctuary.

Worship Ministries

At First United Methodist Church, even during these Covid times, music is still a vital part of our worship experience.  We have teams of vocalists who lead music each Sunday.  They are accompanied by either pipe organ, piano or praise band.  We offer a variety of worship opportunities that include traditional, blended and contemporary worship.  We strive to offer something for everyone.

We look forward to having our choir, "The Sanctuary Singers," start up again after Covid has subsided.  If you love to sing, and enjoy fun and fellowship, we invite you to join us!

We also have a hand bell choir that rehearses weekly on Wednesday nights from September to May.  They share with the congregation monthly.  Please let Jan Randall know if you are a music reader and would like to join the fun!

The other vital part of our worship experience is our tech teams.  They make it all happen for in-house sound, projection and for live streaming.  This is a great way to use your gifts if that is your forte!
